The National Galleries of Scotland is an immensely valuable resource for students and tutors in further and higher education. In addition to an art collection of international quality and first-rate temporary exhibitions, we also have specialist:
- art archives
- libraries
- print rooms
- online activities
These can be of great use for independent learning.
We can offer the following facilities to students and tutors in higher and further education:
- a dynamic talks and lectures programme relating to the collection and temporary exhibitions
- academic conferences, study days and courses relating to exhibitions and displays
- specialist film screenings on art and artists
- special events for trainee teachers
- guided and self-guided tours of the collection (please note we have to charge HEIs and FEIs for guided tours)
- reduced-price entry to temporary exhibitions (two weeks’ notice required)
We are keen to facilitate on-site teaching and are always open to new ideas for educational partnerships.
