How do I order a reproduction of a work from the collection?

What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept Visa, Visa Delta, MasterCard, American Express, Switch and payment by cheque.
How can I tell if a work is available for reproduction?
In the first instance search the National Galleries of Scotland's online collection. Alternatively contact the Picture Library with the artist's name and the title of the work.
How can I research the National Galleries of Scotland collection?
You can research the collection in the following ways:
- Via our Online Collection, which contains details of many of the works in the Galleries' collection
- By visiting the IT Gallery at the Weston Link on the Mound
- By visiting the Galleries' various research resources
- Via the range of Gallery publications about the collection. These are available in your local library and are available to purchase from our online shop
The Picture Library can also help with simple requests about the Collection, though unfortunately we do not have the resources to engage in lengthy or complex picture research requests.
Once you have identified the works you wish to have reproduced please contact us and we can begin processing your order.
How long will the print order take?
Orders for both colour and black and white photographic prints take approximately two to three weeks. Canvas reproductions take approximately 30 days. Please note that if you require a print to meet your deadline or for a present then please contact the Picture Library directly and we may be able to rush your order.
I require an image urgently, how long will it take?
If you require an image urgently, we will endeavour to process your order as soon as possible. Depending on how quickly payment is made your order can be processed within the day. Please note that this does not apply to custom prints or black and white prints made to order.
What are the delivery costs?
Standard postage and packing costs are included for all print orders with the exception of 30 x 40 inch canvas print. If you require a courier for your order a fee will be charged.
Can I order digital images for reproduction?
A selection of the most popular works in the collection are available as digital images. Where a digital image is not available we will supply a colour transparency or a black and white print.
